Anyone interested in fly tying is invited to attend!
 
Mel Light will be teaching this month’s Fly Tying Session at St. Augustine By-The-Sea at 1227 4th Street in Santa Monica (between Arizona & Wilshire Blvd) from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
 
In addition to his cicada pattern, Mel will also show us how to tie his Mangled Cripple for Beatis and PMD. They work during a hatch (especially on windy days) after a hatch as a cripple or a spinner. All three are very versatile patterns you will want to add to your fly box. Materials will be supplied, but if you need any tools (vises, bobbins, etc.) contact Peter.

Parking is available directly across the street in the Santa Monica Parking Structure #1--1234 4th Street.  As per the City of Santa Monica, the structure parking has the following hours & costs: Open 24 hours; costs are 8am - 6pm: first 2 hours free, $1 each additional 30 minutes; $7 maximum daily; entering after 6pm: $3 flat rate.
